Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative medicine is a broad field of medical research and treatments focused on using the body’s own cells and tissues to repair, replace, and regenerate damaged tissue and organs. It offers the potential to rapidly develop innovative treatments, reduce the need for donor organs, and provide therapies for conditions that are currently incurable or require life-long treatment. It is a multidisciplinary approach that leverages the latest advances in medical science, such as stem cell biology, biotechnology, and tissue engineering. This field of medicine holds great promise for patients with various debilitating diseases, as well as serious and traumatic injuries. Regenerative medicine is also being explored for its potential use in treating age-related illnesses and injuries that weaken the body’s self-renewal capacity.
