Bird Biometry

Bird biometry is the scientific study of the size, shape, and proportions of birds and bird parts. This field of study plays an important role in ornithology, allowing for the identification of species, understanding of evolution and ecosystems, and the study of bird migration. Bird biometry is also used to monitor the health of species, assess the impacts of human activities on wild birds, and inform the development of conservation strategies. Bird biometry can also be used to detect changes in bird populations over time, with potential applications in veterinary medicine, urban planning, and, most importantly, preserving avian diversity.
