Bird Diversity
Bird diversity is the variety of different species of birds found within an ecosystem or region. It is an important measure of the quality of an environment and its ability to support life. Bird diversity can be used to identify changes in the environment, such as land-use change, that may have negative impacts on the health of a habitat and the organisms that depend on it. The presence of a variety of different birds species can also provide an indication of the health of a food chain and the overall health of a habitat. By monitoring bird diversity, conservation efforts can be better targeted and actions can be taken to protect and enhance the habitat for both birds and other species.
