Bird Evolution
The evolution of birds has been an important area of study in zoology as birds play an important role in the food web as well as providing important pollination services. Birds are also an important part of human culture, providing an important source of inspiration and fascination throughout history. Bird evolution has been studied intensively since the 19th century, with the discovery of their common origins with dinosaurs. Since then, scientists have learned an incredible amount about different species of birds, their physiology, and how they have adapted to and changed over the course of hundreds of millions of years. Bird evolution has given us a better understanding of how and why birds are able to live and thrive in various different environments, and how they survive and reproduce. Through the study of bird evolution, scientists have also been able to gain insight into the relationship between human beings and the natural world.
