Submit your research to IPJ. International Physiology Journal welcomes submissions throughout the year from researchers, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams working across physiology.
Regular submissions are accepted throughout the year.

Mechanism
Transport, excitability, signaling and energetics established at the level of the cell or membrane, where the physiological consequence is made explicit.

Exchange and perfusion
Studies of the tissue environment: perfusion, oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange, and the local conditions that determine how tissue performs under demand.

Regulation between systems
Work on the reflex, humoral and autonomic loops that couple organ systems, including studies whose subject is the coupling itself rather than either system alone.

Whole-organism function and measurement
Integrated responses to exercise, environment, development, nutrition and disease; comparative and environmental physiology; and methods that make physiological measurement more reliable.
What strengthens a submission
Editorial expectations
The journal looks for a clear physiological question, conditions reported in enough detail for a reader to evaluate them, and conclusions matched to the evidence. Confirmatory results, negative findings, replication and methodological work are all welcome on these terms.
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
