The Journal of Medical Informatics and Decision Making (JMID) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality research focusing on the use of medical informatics and decision-making. This journal seeks to advance the knowledge, understanding and practice of the use of medical informatics systems to improve decision-making and support the delivery of better healthcare. JMID is committed to publishing high-quality, evidence-based and timely research related to medical informatics and decision making that provides a valuable contribution to the field.

JMID publishes original articles related to the design, enhancement, and assessment of health information advancements and decision-making within the healthcare setting, in the fields of biology, medicine, and medical informatics, including computer science, epidemiology, mathematics, health economics, public health, psychology, and health administration, decision making, computer science, and knowledge management in healthcare, artificial intelligence and machine learning, medical imaging, data mining and analysis, healthcare knowledge management, natural language processing, decision support systems and artificial intelligence.
