Blunt Trauma
Blunt trauma is a type of physical injury which occurs when an object strikes the body with a force that does not penetrate the skin. Common causes of blunt trauma include motor vehicle collisions, falls, and an object striking the body. It can cause a wide range of injuries such as broken bones, internal organ injuries, and soft tissue damage. Treatment of blunt trauma typically involves the use of medications such as pain relievers, antibiotics, and drugs to decrease inflammation. Surgery may also be required depending on the severity of the injury. Blunt trauma can be life-threatening, so it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
