Hand Trauma
Hand trauma is an injury to the hand that is caused by a sudden force, such as a fall, car accident, or medical procedure. Hand trauma can range from mild to severe, and can cause disruption of the hand's delicate anatomical structures, resulting in a variety of physical and functional limitations. Hand trauma is a common occurrence and is a major cause of disability and reduced quality of life. Treatment options for hand trauma include non-surgical interventions such as physical and occupational therapy and surgical interventions such as tendon and nerve repair, joint fusion, and arthroplasty. Hand trauma is a significant health issue and early detection and appropriate management can improve patients' long-term outcomes.
