Pulmonectomy
Pulmonectomy is a surgical procedure in which an entire lung is removed. It is a complex and major operation, used to treat a variety of lung related diseases, such as lung cancer, tuberculosis, cystic fibrosis, and lung abscesses. It may also be used as a last resort to treat conditions which are not treatable by other means. Pulmonectomy is a very effective way to treat lung diseases and can help improve a patient's quality of life. The recovery period for pulmonectomy is usually long and intensive and requires high levels of medical attention.
