Skeletal Trauma
Skeletal trauma is an injury to any part of the body's bones or joints. It is characterized by damaged and fractured bones, dislocations, and soft-tissue trauma such as sprains and strains. It is a common result of motor vehicle accidents and falls, but can also be caused by penetrating wounds, crushing events, and sports or recreational accidents. It can result in long-term pain and disability, which can significantly reduce quality of life. Treatment and management involves the use of both medical and surgical options, depending on the type and severity of the injury. Early diagnosis, prompt treatment, correct rehabilitation and proper follow-up care are essential for effective management of skeletal trauma.
