Syncope
Syncope is a medical condition characterized by a sudden loss of consciousness and muscle tone, resulting in a fall. It is caused by a decrease in blood supply to the brain, often due to a decrease in blood pressure. Syncope can be triggered by various factors, including physical strain, emotional stress, medication, and medical conditions such as heart arrhythmias and anemia. Treatment for syncope often involves lifestyle modifications, such as reducing stress, increasing physical activity, and avoiding triggers. The long-term prognosis for someone with syncope depends on the underlying cause. In most cases, syncope can be managed and prevented with lifestyle changes.
