Trauma Nursing
Trauma Nursing is a specialized type of nursing focused on the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with traumatic injuries. Trauma Nurses provide care for patients who are victims of physical trauma and emotional trauma, often in emergency situations. Trauma Nurses use a variety of knowledge, skills, and techniques, such as risk assessment, wound care, and patient and family education, to facilitate recovery. Trauma Nursing is essential to improving the health and well-being of those who have experienced traumatic injuries, or may be at risk of trauma. The role of the Trauma Nurse is critical for providing timely and appropriate care for these individuals, in order to reduce potential long-term disability or mortality.
