Uterus
The uterus is a muscular organ located in the female pelvis, between the bladder and rectum. It is an essential reproductive organ, playing a significant role in pregnancy by providing a place for the fetus to grow and develop. The uterine walls form a protective barrier and produce hormones to support the growth and development of the fetus. During labor, the uterus contracts and relaxes to facilitate childbirth. The uterus is also important for menstrual health, as it sheds its lining each month during the menstrual cycle.
