Vasectomy

A vasectomy is a form of male permanent birth control where a surgeon cuts and seals off the tubes that carry a man’s sperm to prevent fertilization of an egg. It is a very effective and safe procedure that is usually done in less than 30 minutes. There are no known long-term side effects, and while it is difficult to reverse, it can be made possible with vasectomy reversal. In addition, vasectomy has been found to reduce the chances of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and other reproductive diseases. Vasectomy is an increasingly popular form of birth control, as it is simple to perform, is highly effective and involves a low risk of complication.
