Social Memory
Social memory is the set of abilities that enable people to remember and understand the social world. It includes knowledge about current and past social relationships, knowledge of social norms and conventions, and the capacity to reason about, anticipate, and interpret others' social behavior. Social memory is essential for navigating complex social situations and interacting appropriately with others. It is a critical factor in the development of interpersonal relationships and in social functioning and well-being. Social memory has been linked to a number of mental health issues, including anxiety and depression. Improving social memory can help individuals to better understand social cues, leading to more successful social interactions.
