Fractional Calculus
Fractional Calculus is a branch of mathematics concerned with the study of derivatives and integrals of arbitrary real or complex order. It provides powerful and general mathematical tools for the analysis of dynamical systems with memory effects, which are of great importance in various physical, chemical, and biological phenomena. Its applications include modeling of sub-diffusive and super-diffusive processes, non-Newtonian fluids and viscoelastic materials, fractional dynamical systems, chaos and fractional differential equations, and so on. Fractional calculus plays an important role in a wide range of scientific and engineering fields, from physics, chemistry and engineering to economics and finance.
