Test Statistics
Test statistics are used to assess the validity of a hypothesis and draw conclusions about a population. Test statistics are mathematical calculations used to compare the data from a sample to a population, and can be used to measure the likelihood that the results of a given experiment are due to chance rather than being representative of the population. Test statistics allow researchers to evaluate the quality of their data and make more accurate conclusions regarding the relationship between variables. They are an invaluable tool in quantitative research, and can be used to provide evidence for or against hypotheses.
