Adrenal Glands

The adrenal glands, located just above the kidneys, are two small, pyramid-shaped glands that play an important role in the body. They produce hormones that control metabolism, heart rate, blood pressure, and stress response, among other bodily functions. They are also important for regulating electrolyte balance, immune system functioning, and responses to stress and injury. The hormones produced by the adrenal glands can help people stay healthy, especially in cases of acute or chronic illnesses. Additionally, the hormones produced by the adrenal glands may help with fertility, regulate emotions, and maintain overall well-being.
