Female Urology
Female urology covers a wide range of urological issues in women, including diseases and conditions of the bladder, kidneys, and reproductive system. It is important for pre- and post-menopausal women, pregnant women and those who have ever had gynecological surgery. By addressing these issues, female urologists are helping to ensure women’s urological health is managed appropriately. This can involve treatments such as pelvic floor surgery, reconstructive surgery, conservative treatments, and lifestyle modifications. With advances in urological technologies, female urology is helping to improve the quality of life and reduce symptoms of female urological conditions. There is also increasing evidence to suggest that many of these techniques help to improve fertility, reduce urinary incontinence, and reduce the risk of urinary tract infections. In short, female urology is a field that is both important and beneficial for women’s health.
