Nephritis

Nephritis is an inflammation of the kidneys, which are two essential organs that help filter waste from the bloodstream and produce urine. Nephritis can be caused by bacterial or viral infections, autoimmune disorders, or the presence of other diseases like diabetes. Symptoms of nephritis often include swelling in the face, legs, or feet, high blood pressure, reduced urine output, and pain in the abdomen or back. Treatment for nephritis usually involves antibiotics or other medications, lifestyle changes, and in some cases, surgery. When caught early, nephritis can often be treated successfully and prevent long-term complications.
