Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer among men in the United States and the second most common form of cancer-related death. It occurs when cells in the prostate gland, a male sex organ located below the bladder, divide and multiply uncontrollably. Prostate cancer can spread to other organs, but is usually diagnosed and treated early, allowing for a good chance of recovery. Currently, the main treatment options for prostate cancer are surgery, radiation, and hormone therapy. Recent advances in imaging and treatment techniques have improved outcomes for prostate cancer patients. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for proper management of the disease and improving patient outcomes.
