Uric Acid
Uric acid is a compound created in the body during the breakdown of proteins. It is produced in the liver, and then excreted by the kidneys in the urine. High levels of uric acid in the body can lead to conditions such as gout and kidney stones. It can also be a sign of a metabolic disorder, kidney problems, or cancer. Uric acid levels can be monitored and managed with medication, a healthy diet, and regular exercise. Managing uric acid levels is important in reducing the risk of developing gout and kidney stones.
