Chemotaxis

Chemotaxis is the movement of an organism in response to a chemical stimulus. This process plays an important role in many aspects of biology, such as bacterial infection, the regulation of the immune system, and the navigation of sperm to the egg. By influencing how cells move and interact with each other, chemotaxis is essential in the development, reproduction, and survival of many organisms. Additionally, chemotaxis is used in research to study how cells and organisms move in response to chemicals and how this movement can be manipulated. Finally, chemotaxis has potential applications in biotechnology and medicine, such as the development of targeted drug delivery systems.
