Computational Molecular Biology
Computational molecular biology is an interdisciplinary field that uses computing techniques to understand biological phenomena. Through the application of mathematical, statistical, and computer science techniques, researchers are able to gain insights into the structure and function of molecules, genes, and proteins. This knowledge is then used to develop treatments and medicines that are more effective, as well as better-targeted diagnostics. As a result of its importance in biotechnology, medical research, and drug development, computational molecular biology has become one of the most important tools in the life sciences.
