Membrane Fusion
Membrane fusion is the process by which two separate lipid membranes come together and combine to form one single membrane. It is an important cellular process that enables a cell to regulate its environment and exchange substances with the outside world. Additionally, it is crucial for the formation, separation and movement of organelles within a cell and is essential for the normal life and functioning of the cell. Membrane fusion also has a wide range of applications in biotechnology and medicine, including the development of gene therapy, drug delivery systems and the generation of cell-based therapeutic products.
