Nuclides

Nuclides are atoms that have different numbers of neutrons in their nucleus than other atoms of the same element. These differences in neutron count give rise to different properties in the nuclides such as differences in mass, stability, and radioactive behavior. Nuclides are essential for many scientific and industrial applications, such as nuclear energy, medical applications, and radiochemistry. Nuclides also have importance to research, such as in nuclear physics, astrophysics, and radiation biology. Nuclides are key to understanding natural processes and allow us to gain insight into the behavior of the universe.
