Pathology Molecular Pathology
Molecular pathology is the study of the biochemical and molecular changes that occur in diseases and their correlation with the structural and physiological changes. It is a rapidly growing field within pathology and medicine that studies the role of molecular changes such as gene mutations and other changes in the expression of genes in diseases such as cancer, infectious diseases, genetic disorders and immune-related disorders. Molecular pathology plays a key role in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of disease and helps improve patient outcomes. It is also used to identify novel biomarkers of disease and is used to develop new diagnostic and therapeutic tools.
