Ribozymes

Ribozymes are specialized enzymes made of RNA that can catalyze specific biochemical reactions within a cell. They are responsible for critical processes in cells and can be found in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms. Ribozymes offer a number of advantages over traditional enzymes made of proteins, including their ability to carry out reactions faster and more efficiently. They have also been used to develop gene therapies and research tools to study how genes and proteins interact with each other. In addition, ribozymes have great potential for future applications in biotechnology due to their small size and ability to manipulate genetic material.
