Yellow Fluorescent Protein
Yellow Fluorescent Protein (YFP) is a protein found in some species of coral, and other marine organisms, that emits a bright yellow-green light when exposed to blue light. YFP is often used as a fluorescent marker in research and biomedical fields, as it is an easily tracked indicator of the expression of a particular gene or protein. It is also critical for visualizing or isolating proteins or other biological molecules in various biological processes, as well as for studying and understanding the function and regulation of proteins in cells. Furthermore, YFP could potentially be utilized in various biotechnological applications, such as new drug delivery methods and biosensing.
