Heart Transplantation
Heart transplantation is a potentially life-saving operation in which a person’s damaged or diseased heart is replaced with a healthy donor heart. This delicate procedure involves the transplanting of a viable, donor heart in place of the recipient’s diseased heart, saving them from various cardiovascular illnesses and conditions. A successful heart transplantation surgery can restore a patient's heart functionality and quality of life, and can also extend their life expectancy. Heart transplantation operations involve a complex and lengthy process, including certain tests and a rigorous selection process which must be followed before the donor heart is transplanted.
