Myopia
Myopia, also known as near-sightedness, is a refractive error that causes distant objects to appear blurry. It is one of the most common eye conditions and affects about 30% of the population worldwide. Myopia is caused by the eyeball being too long or the cornea having too much curvature. The primary symptom of myopia is difficulty in seeing things far away. This can cause difficulties with activities such as driving, watching movies, or participating in sports activities. Early diagnosis and treatment of myopia can help to reduce or even prevent the progression of the condition, and thus reduce any serious vision problems in the future. Treatment of myopia usually involves eyeglasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery. It is important to take regular eye examinations to diagnose and monitor myopia and any other vision issues.
