Acidic Pancreatic Trypsin Inhibitor

Acidic Pancreatic Trypsin Inhibitor (APTI) is a protein that plays an important role in regulating pancreatic function and digestion. APTI is produced in the pancreas and binds to the enzyme trypsin to reduce its activity. This protein is important in controlling inflammation and hyperactivity of the pancreas, helping to prevent the development of pancreatic diseases such as pancreatitis. It is also used in various clinical applications, including the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic disorders. Additionally, APTI can be used as an adjunct therapy in the treatment of certain types of cancer.
