Biliary Dyskinesia

Biliary dyskinesia is a medical condition in which the gallbladder fails to contract properly, resulting in bile not being able to flow through the gallbladder and bile ducts. This can cause biliary sludge, gallstones, pain in the upper right side of the abdomen and jaundice. Biliary dyskinesia is the most common cause of abdominal pain and can cause chronic health problems if left untreated. Treatment for biliary dyskinesia includes dietary changes and medications. In more severe cases, surgery may be needed. Early diagnosis and treatment are important in improving the prognosis, quality of life and overall health of those affected by biliary dyskinesia.
