Biomechanics
Biomechanics is the science that applies principles of mechanics, such as motion and force, to the human body and its components. It can be used to understand how the body moves, to identify areas of risk for injury, and to develop better medical treatments and therapies. It is an important field of study in sports medicine, orthopedics, and physical therapy as it allows for the development of treatments and therapies that are tailored to the individual's muscular, skeletal and physiological needs. Biomechanics also has practical applications in areas such as sports equipment design, prosthetics and robotics.
