Disease Ecology
Disease ecology is the study of the interactions between disease-causing organisms and the environment. It seeks to understand how environmental factors affect the transmission, emergence, and evolution of infectious diseases. Disease ecology is a crucial field of study for public health and environmental conservation, as it provides insight into the emergence of new infectious diseases, the spread of existing ones, and strategies to prevent, control, and eliminate them. It can also be used to inform effective strategies for the conservation of endangered species by helping to determine where and how diseases interact with their environment.
