Human Evolution
Human Evolution is the process by which our species and its immediate ancestors have changed over time. It is believed that we are descended from ancient primates, and that our ancestors adapted, allowing us to become distinct from other species. By mapping the genetic and fossil evidence, scientists have been able to piece together the evolutionary history of our species, showing how our physical and cognitive characteristics have changed over time. Human Evolution is important as it helps us to understand how our species has been shaped by the environment, and how our development has been influenced by natural selection. Understanding Human Evolution can help to explain our diversity as well as our similarities, making it of interest to researchers from many disciplines, including anthropology, genetics, and medicine.
