Island Biogeography

Island biogeography is the study of how the distribution of species in islands is affected by the size and location of the island, and how the species evolve and adapt over time. Its applications range from conservation biology to the management of the Earth's ecosystems. Island biogeography is a critical tool for understanding how different environmental factors such as climate, geography, and human activity affect species distributions. With this knowledge, scientists can develop strategies to protect and restore vulnerable ecosystems and biodiversity. This is an important field of study for research, industry, and policy makers alike.
