Omnivory

Omnivory is a type of diet where an organism consumes both plants and animals. As a type of ecological categorization, omnivores are organisms that feed on both plant and animal matter. This diet provides the organism with a diverse set of nutrients, allowing the organism to better survive in a wide variety of environments and different food sources. This type of diet is common among many animal species, including birds, mammals, reptiles, and many fish species. In humans, an omnivorous diet includes a variety of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, which provide essential nutrients for health and development.
