Pollination

Pollination is the process by which plants exchange pollen from one flower to another to enable fertilization and seeds. This is usually carried out by wind or by animals, such as bees and butterflies. Pollination is essential for the reproduction of most plant species and contributes significantly to global food security, since it allows us to have diverse and abundant crops. In addition, pollination contributes to the biological richness of our environment, providing food and shelter for many animals.
