Soil Science
Soil Science is the study of soils in relation to land use, crop production, water management, and other ecological processes. Soil scientists work to understand soil composition and characteristics, develop soil conservation and management practices, and to find ways to improve soil fertility. Soil is a critical component of agricultural production and is essential for plant growth and the health of the environment. Soil Science also studies soil degradation, erosion, and contamination, and seeks to develop practices to address these issues. In addition, Soil Science can be used as a tool in the development of sustainable land management practices and the conservation of natural resources.
