Genetics

Genetics is the study of how characteristics, such as physical traits, are passed from generation to generation through genetic material. It is a branch of biology that investigates the structure, function, and inheritance of genes, as well as their interaction with the environment. Genetics has applications in many areas of life, from agriculture to medicine. In agriculture, genetics is used to improve crop and animal yields, while in medicine, genetics is used to diagnose and treat diseases, study their underlying causes, and develop new therapies and treatments. Genetics also has implications for society, contributing to our understanding of how individuals differ and how this affects their health, behaviour, and social outcomes.
