Rice

Rice is an important cereal crop, used as a staple food by almost half of the world's population. It is a grass species that is widely grown in tropical and subtropical regions, particularly in Asia and Africa. Rice is a nutrient-rich grain and a good source of essential vitamins and minerals, including folate, iron, calcium, zinc and vitamin B6. It is also high in carbohydrates and dietary fiber and low in fat and sodium. Rice is easy to digest and has a mild flavor that can be easily combined with other ingredients. It is versatile, providing a base for a variety of dishes, from savory soups, stews and curries, to sweet desserts and porridge. Rice is an important part of the human diet and provides essential nutrients to help maintain good health.
