Spectroscopic Techniques

Spectroscopy is a scientific technique used to measure the interactions of light with matter. It is a powerful tool used in analysis and characterization of materials, e.g. chemical and biological compounds. Spectroscopy can be used to identify and measure the properties of individual molecules, to study how molecules interact with each other, to determine the composition of a material, to observe changes in the environment, and to monitor the progress of a reaction. It can also be used in clinical diagnostics to determine diseases, such as cancer, and to observe the behavior of a drug in a living system. The versatility of this technique makes it an invaluable tool in many areas of science.
