Bronchioles
Bronchioles are tiny tubes, or airways, at the end of the bronchi in the human respiratory system. They carry air from the bronchi to the alveoli, where oxygen is absorbed into the blood and carbon dioxide is released. Bronchioles play an important role in gas exchange, providing oxygen for the body and removing carbon dioxide from the lungs. They also help to humidify and filter the air to ensure that particles, such as dust and allergens, are removed from the air before it reaches the alveoli.
