Therapeutic Advances in Respiratory Disease
Therapeutic advances in respiratory disease is a broad field that encompasses the use of novel treatments to help people with respiratory illness. These treatments range from lifestyle interventions, medications, to new treatments which are being developed to help improve the quality of life of those with respiratory disease. Treatment options include inhalers and nebulizers, lifestyle changes such as giving up smoking and improving diet, and newer treatments such as gene therapy and stem cell therapy. Research is ongoing to develop more effective treatments that not only improve symptoms but also prevent or slow the progression of respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, and lung cancer. As advances in respiratory disease therapy continue to emerge, individuals can have access to more effective treatments and improved quality of life.
