Thoracic Diaphragm

The thoracic diaphragm is a large muscle located in the chest cavity between the lungs and the abdomen. It serves as a primary respiratory muscle and is vital for producing effective ventilation. The thoracic diaphragm contributes to disease prevention, as it helps regulate the intake of oxygen and expels carbon dioxide from the lungs. It also plays an important role in speech production and abdominal functioning. The thoracic diaphragm is an essential component of overall functional health and well-being.
