Tobacco Control
. Tobacco Control is a public health approach to prevent and reduce tobacco use and its associated health risks. It includes prevention and cessation strategies, such as restrictions on where and how tobacco products can be sold, increased taxes on tobacco, public education campaigns, smoke-free policies, and media campaigns. Such strategies help to raise awareness among people about the health risks associated with smoking and other tobacco use, discourage its use, and ultimately reduce tobacco-related deaths, diseases, and healthcare costs.
