Depression
Depression is a mental disorder characterized by persistent low mood and a feeling of sadness, hopelessness, and being overwhelmed. Symptoms can also include irritability, poor concentration, changes in appetite and sleep, fatigue, and a lack of interest or pleasure in activities. Depression is among the most common mental health issues worldwide and can have a significant effect on one's quality of life. Treatment often includes psychotherapy and medications to help regulate mood, such as antidepressants and mood stabilizers. In some cases, lifestyle changes such as exercise and improved sleep habits can help reduce symptoms.
