Mania

Mania is a psychological disorder characterized by an elevated mood, increased energy, and racing thoughts. It is one of the most common features of bipolar disorder, and can also occur in other mental health conditions such as depression and schizoaffective disorder. Mania is often accompanied by a decreased need for sleep, an increase in reckless behavior, racing thoughts, and impaired judgment. Mania can be disabling and significantly interfere with daily life. Treatment of mania typically includes medication, therapy, and lifestyle changes. It is important to seek prompt professional help, as effective treatment can reduce the risk of developing long-term, potentially serious complications.
