Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is a profession that helps people of all ages to improve their quality of life and overcome physical, mental, and social challenges in everyday activities. It is grounded in the belief that engaging in meaningful activities can help people achieve independence, improve well-being, and promote overall health and quality of life. Occupational therapists work with individuals to identify activities that are meaningful and important to them, and develop creative strategies to support their engagement in meaningful activities that improve functional performance by minimizing barriers. As a result of their interventions, individuals may experience improved physical and mental health, increased productivity, increased quality of life, enhanced independence, better functioning at home and in the community, and increased satisfaction in their occupation.
